Thank you Girls for renewing some vigor for writing. Although Lena Dunham’s show is not without faults and mocking, it’s got something about it.
There’s something that appeals to me. It’s possible I relate to it because Dunham, and her character Hannah, both suffer from OCD but it’s not a main focus. It’s on the peripheral of her conversations. It’s in her worries. Her Internet searches and her thoughts, even the scenes seem to keep it in mind. It’s bubbling just under the surface.
That’s how it feels most of the time between bouts of worse times. It’s there, and it’s constant, but it doesn’t always take over.
